Beatrice!

This is a letter that I got from the girl I sponsor. The information packet I got at first said "Your child will probably send you one to two letters a year." However, it has been about a year, and I have like, 6 letters from her! She is 8, and sooo cute.

"Dear my friend Heather Leith,
I am glad to send you Christian greetings. I hope that you are fine and that God is still taking care of you. I thank you so much for all that you are doing for me and my family. I am working hard at school so that I pass my exams, which we are doing in mid August. Pray for me. I like Sunday School because it has helped me to grow in Jesus. I have learnt Bible verses like in 1 Peter 5:6 which teaches me to humble myself under God's mighty hand. How is the weather there? Here, we have entered a dry season. It is time for harvesting crops. I will pray for you and wish you the best.

May God bless you.
From your child Beatrice Ampeire."

SHE IS SO AMAZING! It is so cool that just $30 dollars a month, which I could spend on a dress which I don't need, can give her food, water, education, clothes...I am so glad I chose to sponsor her, because God is using the money in such an amazing way!

17 Out of the Ordinary Things I Did In The Past 29.5 Hours

1. Frolicked in a baby pool
2. Wore a towel as a toga
3. Spit water in three people's ears (intentional.)
4. Ran across the Saddleback Campus (actually, that's normal for me.)
5. Listened to loooong discussions about lead-paint in Tokyo or something (between Melissa's mom and grandma [henceforth referred to as Grandma])
6. Constructed a cardboard car
7. Played Hearts with Melissa and her grandparents
8. Was dubbed Favorite Friend of Melissa's by Grandma
9. Played Egyptian War and Dutch Blitz with a 76 year old
10. Petted a dog that resembles a naked mole rat with an Afro
11. Re-decorated a guest room + bathroom
12. Intentionally colored on two picture frames + my kitchen table with Sharpie
13. Vacuumed a garage (which is also normal for me)
14. Discovered that we have a candy called "Key Lime Buds" sitting on my kitchen counter
15. Ate two McDonald's snack wraps
16. Watched Carson make a Java Chip frappachino at the Moxie
17. Typed the phrase "Scotch tape" (see profile.)

Now tell me...when is the last time you did all 17 of these??

CHEESY! BIZARRE! PREDICTABLE! STUPID! EMBARASSING!

These are the words with which I choose to describe this travesty which I call High School Musical 2.

Cheesy- High School Musical in general is just cheesy. What's all the hype about? It's a children's movie, and I don't understand why people our age and above think of it as a quality film.

Bizarre- Zac Efron had a scene where he like furiously sang about Gabriella or something. He was in all black, and he leaped about the wilderness and stood on top of rocks, and added the weirdest dance moves that I have ever seen. You don't do that.

Predictable- Elise and I predicted the whole plot and outcome of the "musical" five minutes into it. We were correct.

Stupid- All of the actors were over the top and unrealistic. I'm sorry. But they were. And Zac Efron remained in his salamander state.

Embarrassing- It just was.

I am sorry if I have hurt anyone's souls.

But I truly had a blast at Jessie's premier party! Plus Bryce Kelley was there! It was fun making fun of it and then watching Hannah Montana after.

Disney Channel...you put me to shame. But I still love you.

WILD RIVERRRRS!

Corn husker boy!

HeatherMelissaJoannaZeinah...
asking random people to take pictures with us...
soooo much fun.
We ended up with one person asking for my number...
he had a lip ring...
WEEEEIRD.

We all pigged out the whole time...and I paid for my fries with my ukulele dollar. The cashier just stared at it and silently unfolded it. She didn't even say anything about my skill.

AND I didn't get sunburned!
That's a first!
I burn like a lobster!

Note- this was only my second time at Wild Rivers. Not this summer.

In my life.

IT WAS SO FUN!
We went on all the baby rides, and SCREAMED at the top of our lungs.
Everyone just stared.
Like we were crazy.
But...

we are.

BANDITS ON THE LOOSE!

Watch out.

Photoshoot (:

Well, I finally learned how to edit pictures and make them look...GOOD. (well, i think they're good. Not the first two...but the other ones.) Like, brighter, sunnier, more intense...hooray!

Please excuse our ugly faces...it's kind of hard to stay pretty while leaping onto a couch.
*This is where the magic starts*

Epic Heather

My neighbors tore their backyard wall down because they're extending it out...leaving their playset out in the open and calling for two people to go play on it (:

We kept thinking...how awkward would it be if they looked out the window and saw two people playing on their playset?? How would we explain ourselves?

I love life.

My 2 New FAAAAVORITE Songs

Step One- Scroll alllll the way down.
Step Two- Listen to Bubbly by Colbie Caillat.
Step Three- Listen to Almost Lover by A Fine Frenzy.
Step Four- FALL IN LOVE.
Step Five- Comment telling me how I have caused a musical reformation in your brain.

Update- I have realized that many people know about Colbie Caillat. How? My MOM knows the song.

...and here I thought I was all original. (Actually, I'm not, Melissa told me about her.)

Can you just pretend that you've never heard the song? And tell me that I'm brilliant?

Thanks.

I just hope no one knows about A Fine Frenzy.

Dear Ali Number 2

How's this?

This is how to put it on. If you don't want the line border around the picture, then go to where you change your blog colors, and make the "Border Color" the same as the "Page Background" color.

LOOOOOVE Heather

Dear Ali.

This is what I came up with...If you would like something changed, or something totally different...

LET ME KNOW!
